Are you the one that got it from your friend after he had it for 2 weeks?

    Edit: Look here. OUCH!

Rivatuner should give you the clockspeed while the ram should tell you if it is a GT or not. If your the one who had a friend buy it, post the ram's code tag (if you can't get a clear pic, just type it along with the manufacturer) - that won't lie at all, while a bios can.

If your not whom The Lodge and myself think you are, then pursue an RMA if the order was wrong. Again, ram won't lie for this purpose to tell if it is a GT or not.

    Its me all right.

Local Hardware expert tells me that its a regular 6800
it doesnt look like BFG cards.
It looks more like VEGA card.

Maybe I should just sell this card in Ebay and get something else?

I’d be going after your “buddy”. Might be time for small claims court. Do you mean Evga? http://www.newegg.com/app/viewProduc...130-202&depa=1

Yeah! I read it today. If he turned out to be the culprit I would be gunning for the guy & we would have it out right there on his doorstep! I wouldn't try to physically attack him - But I'd definetly let him and the rest of the street know what I thought of his friendship in no uncertain terms. I'd try to embarrass him into making up the difference, and once he had, he would be cut off.

    With friends like that ...

    Word.

By the way, the bfg says it on a sticker right on the hs, the evga says it on a sticker on the fan. Does your card have a mermaid on the sticker? It’s on the evga.

The new BFGs have a dual fan copper heatsink. very different from the reference design. you would instantly be able to tell if it was an evga or a BFG.

The GT uses the same reference PCB as the Ultra card. If you look at the card, the end with the power connector, you should see a spot where another power connector could be added. You'll see the spot where it would have been.
Check the 3rd picture down from Here for the GT.

For the regular 6800, check the 3rd picture down Here
