    Plextor 708a problem

    My cd drive (Plextor 708a) cant read any DVDs! movies, nor 4.7 burned data disks, i updated the firmware driver to 1.08 but it still cant read any dvd disks, it can read normal cds fine, what could i do? Im also using Windows XP SP2.

    Sounds like the DVD laser has failed. Is it still under warranty?
