    They Do Make Power Supply Testers.

    Allows quick and easy testing with built-in 25W 5.4 ohm load to generate steady outputs.

    Features:
    Allows quick and easy testing
    Built-in 25W 5.4 ohm load to generate steady outputs
    POWER_OK green LED indicates power supply is working
    +5V, +3.3V & 12V leads for volt metering to check output voltages

    Instructions:

    To test the power supply:
    Unplug any devices that are connected to the power supply
    Unplug the 20-pin ATX connector from the motherboard
    Plug the tester into the power supply's 20-pin ATX connector
    If the POWER_OK LED lights up, the power supply is working.
