    easy, old, action game please.

my mum has asked me to find her an action game, quote ''something with machine guns in it'' it will need to be easy to play, easy to set up, preferably with easy to use default key/mouse settings, be smooth running on a pc using a pentium 8oo and windows me, and not too fast (she's 75) i will be looking at games shops for re-issued and collections of games. she seems to like those noisy shoot em ups you get at arcades. any ideas?

You can try Alien Shooter. That's a fun and no-brainer game for kids. Quite fun too!

    Half Life for sure

the original Half Life. a vast assortment
of weapons, great story, plus quick saving
and loading options- she can redo any
hard spots till she gets it right.

a few scares in it tho- headcrabs jumping
at her may give her a start.

If it dosen't matter how old they are Duke Nukem and the original dooms might be perfect. They should be reasonably easy and straightforward, no difficult gameplay or too many places to get stuck. Great games, just dated graphics.

but seriously, Doom2 was my favorite old school game.
Spear of Destiny was good also (the sequal to Wolfenstien 3d)
