    I need fan control software

I own an opteron 242 and the CPU fan runs at full blast all the time. Is there any software that can control it?

If you would prefer to go the hardware route, there are numerous fan speed controllers out there.

The software route would have to be something like SpeedFan.

    Hardware Sensors Monitor

    SpeedFan

These are the only two I use.

I use SpeedFan for fan control and HSM for thermal throttling control to prevent damage from an overheated CPU. The combination works perfectly.

I use Motherboard Monitor 5 myself right now...but the links that G gave i just downloaded to try them also...

Of course I would just run one at a time...dah...

I had no idea you were so smart G...

The only thing in my system the same as yours is the same P4 2.8 CPU....
That is alot of good stuff you have installed ....

I am still by my own accounts just a intermediate user as to my overall knowledge....
