I think you're just bragging a little bit, and to be honest, I'm not impressed.

Not bragging and deifnately not trying to impress anyone.

All of these purchases will be from my summer earning.

All of them are justifiable too.

The USB extension cable is for my Apple keyboard. It comes with a 3 foot cable and my computer is high above the desk so I need an extension...

The xD Memory card is for the camera since the camera only comes with 16 MB.

The camera is so that I can take cheap (no cost for development) picture of my friends for our senior year.

The iRiver IHP120 is so that when I am running cross-country races and skiing nordic races in the winter, I can occupy my mind and not have to think about the pain of running and skiing long distances. I am an endurance athlete and it can get broing out there on the course. I need entertainment on the go.

The screen is to replace my current 19 and two 17 inch monitors becuase at the end of the school year, it'll be hard to carry all three CRTs home.

The headphones are to replace the included ear buds so I can get a richer sound and block out the noises around me as I run and ski.

    Bragging?

    no...

I thought over it again...19 inch LCD is a bit too large so me thinks I will go with this 17 inch LCD instead. It cuts the Price down to $930.44

    Here it is...

SONY SDM-S74/B 17" LCD Monitor -RETAIL
    Specifications:
Panel Type: TFT Active Matrix LCD
    Native Resolution: 1280 x 1024
    Pixel Pitch: 0.264 mm
    Brightness: 250 cd/m2
    Contrast Ratio: 500:1 (max)
    Response Time: 16 ms
    View Angle: 160° / 160°(H/V)
    Input Connectors: 15-pin D-sub, DVI-D
    Dimensions & Weight: 14.5 x 16.3 x 8.5 in, 12.3 lbs
    Manufacturer's Warranty: 3 years

    $437...

It also comes with a longer warranty (2 years more) and looks better.

Just to let you know, don't count on making too many movies since 10fps isn't all that good for that. Also, let me point you in the direction of two pieces of useful freeware to go along with the camera
noiseware (http://www.imagenomic.com/) will get rid of noise in pictures that happens due to using long exposures or high iso settings. You may or may not need this, but it couldn't hurt

jpeg crops (http://www.ekot.dk/programmer/JPEGCrops) is so that you can print your photos and know they'll fit. A digicam takes pictures in a 3:4 ratio, but 4x6 paper is 2:3. So, you have to crop some off the top and bottom of the photo. Jpeg crops will do this for you (otherwise, you will see something on the screen, and then magically the topand bottom bits will disappear when you print.

I won't be doing any filming...at least nothing important...Thanks for the two apps by the way.

I need easy access to control...Like the joystick thing in the iRiver. I have tested in store models and I have grown accustomed to it.

I thought about the Dell (it's actually a creative design for Dell) and the interfaces are the same for the Zen, Zen Xtra, Zen NX, and I do not like that interface. Also, the Dell thingamabobit cannot store files other than the music formats and .dat files making it less of a storage unit. The iRiver can handle various audio formats as well as the size is smaller, I like the look and feel of it. And it requires no software to talk to other computers.

Use the savings to buy a rechargeable battery kit for the Fuji. It sure doesn't take very long for one of those to pay for itself.

I like the iRiver IHP120, nice storage for a real nice price.

P.S.: Hey, you run cross country too? I did for a little while, but 3.5 miles is just too long for me, I'm more of a sprinter.
