    Opening Ports

    I have got me a Linksys Befsx41 here. I am trying to open up a port. I have the newest Firmware for it, but i dont know how to open the port, can anyone help?

    I don't think that router blocks any ports unless you have Filters setup. I'm guessing you want to forward a port to a pc on the lan , like a game port ?

    Not sure. Im setting up a program, and for it to run correctly it need port 6881 open, curently i get an error when it checks it see if its open.

    I should have said, generally you will need to "forward" the port on your router. Also, you will need to open or allow the port / program in your firewall .
    You will have to provide more info if you need details. e.g. , OS, firewall and program info.

    Did you check for online documentation on the Linksys website? I don't use Linksys myself but my Zyxel router has quite thourough documentation. They have it on their CD as well as online.
