    I was wondering the exact same thing at a client's place this morning.

    I'd think if it had worked the poster would have been back telling us how tough that athlon is. I ruined an athlon by just taking a small chip from the corner of the processor which the CPU pictured also had besides the damage to the die.
    I love my athlons but that one is toast I'd say. I would love to hear that it posted so I could send a link to my pentium loving brothers and sisters. Bragging rights. I don't think a pentium would fare any better though.

    LOL, the chip didn't work.

    Wow, took a while to come back to this. If I remember correctly, I tried to run the chip in an 8RDA+, the same one I used it in successfully before. The motherboard just got extremely hot around the CPU socket area and the system did not POST.

    There's a video out of the chip being run and overclocked before that dreaded washing machine escapade.
