Is this a scam?
http://www.freebie-electronics.com/usa/vaio.html
Was wondering if it were legit?
I personally am highly skeptical of this sort of thing.

First off, your not buying the laptop for $90, you are buying there e-books for $90 then entered into a drawing for a free laptop.
Buy our e-books from this page for just $90
Read carefully.

I like the way they put the part about buying the e-books in one little paragraph, while the rest of the page is devoted to the laptop...pure genius..

Total scam, but if you are caught in it, they have enough proof that you were actually buying e-books, not a laptop, that they cant be sued.
Notice they also say 'cycle length' which could mean anything, not every 15 people like they make it out to seem. It could mean 15 years for 15 people for all we know.
Cycle length for this item is 15 people.
Always remember business's are in business to make money. If the deal is way to good, it's a scam or they would be out of business in no time b/c they wouldnt make any money to stay in business.

Yea you should. Here's what you would get.
http://www.freebie-electronics.com/usa/ebooks.html
When you place an order you are actually buying a set of e-books and being placed into your desired cycle for free.
Not sure what 'your desired cycle' means. I would call them to make everything more clear.
all-in-all it sounds like a scam to me

Cycle length for this item...
Erm, isn't that some sort of female thing?
It is not a scam as such, it is merely misleading. And unclear in what appears to be a deliberate manner.

What a selection of e-books.
Reads like a virtual "How to be a spammer" list.
Buy them, you couldnt give them to me.

It's a classic pyramid scam. You got to buy books to join the pyramid and sell books or pull in other members to to go up the chain. Forget it and write a book instead, then sell it to them. They are all no doubt junk books anyway or they wouldn't need to give away anything else away to sell them.

The way these work is you pay $90 for the ebook. Your name goes into a cycle of 15 people. You wait and read your books until 15 other people pay $90 for the ebooks to get in the cycle. Every 15 people that have paid someone gets a laptop. Trouble it looks like you might be 5th in the cycle time. Meaning there are four people ahead of you that get their laptop first. Each one of them needs 15 people to sign up. Thats 75 people before you get your laptop. 75 x $90 = $6750 is what they bring in before they give you the laptop that will cost them under $1000. It also will take them 10 to 12 weeks before they send out the laptop.
Don't do it.
