They should test them atleast once a month for about five to ten minutes.
Normal over here.

Amazing! they can test cyclones, what happens, do they lose control over some of them and thats why they cause all that damage?
Seriously, I would love to see a twister in the flesh so to speak, as long as I was standing on a cyclone proof bunkers door step.

No fun in person, I arrived in Oklahoma City from Colorado with Uhaul van, pickup with camper and boat. The day I arrived, six twisters sat down in town. I was driving my pickup on the 4 lane main street going West right into one. I pulled up along side a truck with a backhoe and a load of trash on a trailer. A 40 gallon trash barrel full of trash flew over the top of my pickup. Needless to say, I boogied out of there. Within 10 minutes the streets were flooded almost a foot deep with rain water. No place for a Californian. Lived there six months and saw several twisters up close and personal.

Seen my share of tornadoes, I don't fear them, but I do give them the powerful respect they deserve. Mostly cuz if you don't, they'll show you their power. Having one go right over my head ( literally ) in Omaha one summer, then touch down 3 blocks away and level a shopping center will do that to ya though.
