    DirectX vs. openGL

It's me again. I am running XP Pro and I have DirectX 9 installed. I know that you can't read the code for the program mentioned below, but since I have DirectX 9 shouldn't I be able to run this program?

(Quote from the SimPose web page)
SimPose-ium (or SimPose for short) is an animation editor for the Maxis/Electronic Arts Game 'TheSims'. I'm currently working on a version that uses openGL rather than DirectX for the 3D display. For most Windows users this has no impact, unless you're using Windows NT where you'll be able to use SimPose for the first time.

Open GL drivers are built into the video card drivers, as logn as youve got those you should be fine

What video card do you have? Some older ones (the RAGE 128 family comes to mind) do not have OpenGL support under Windows XP.

Yes, you should be able to run that program with your computer.
