And a lot of people can't bring themselves to throw out a computer - even when it no longer works.

I have a few hanging around myself that should have been discarded long ago.

Someone I know has his place covered in the PCs he's used once upon a time.

Too many paid near $3000 for their compaq presario probably the real reason they can't stomach throwing that one out.

My sister uses my old computer. It is an old HP. Sometimes people ask me if I want to sell it, and I always say no. It was my first computer, and I would miss it so much if I ever sell it.

I'm running an A7N8X Deluxe/XP 2500+/9600 Pro system now but I've still got my first 386 in the corner across the room. It doesn't work and hasn't for years but there it sits, lol.
    But, it goes to 11

That's weird. I'm attached to my computer, but since I am able to build them, I enjoy upgrading mine periodically. In fact, I've been thinking about trading out my Dimension 8300 case for a case made by a custom manufacturer. I really do love my computer, but I would still sell it if I had a better one.

In a public setting, you get loyal to a computer that seems to work! I finally got the gutsy to dump a couple of computers that I paid more than $2000 each and are now worth zip!
