Steals and deals ? This was a steal.
I went to the computer fair today and the refurb monitor guy had a 24" Sony PREMIERPRO GDM-FW900 CRT. It was used and had a couple of blemishes on it's bezel, but it works perfectly. So I picked it up for $250 (after a little haggling). I'm playing UT 2003 and 2004 on it and I'm in frag heaven. Oh yeah, it's being fed by a FX5700 Ultra.

Finally a monitor that can do higher resolutions than the video card!
Unless I have incorrect info that monitor can do like 2456x something.
I second that that was a steal.

Real nice!(I third that was a STEAL) I got my 21" CRT for $450 5 years ago! It's a refurb. Compaq qvision 210, still works like it was new! Plus it has 2 inputs so I can hook up 2 computers to it and just press a button to switch between the 2, very handy if your a computer repair tech.

Actually Vamp, I use a KVM switch for that. Who needs 2 mice, keyboards, and such cluttering up the place.
It's so strange getting used to "widescreen" computing. Especially when gaming.

And as a bonus it probably helps heats up your room real nice.
Ive got 2 19" and 2 15" in here with me along with 4 Athlon systems. Windows open with fan blowing out just to keep the temp about 78F.
Second the KVM switch as well. Got three of them in use right now. Wonderful little devices.
