I personally dont think so, im more concerned with the amount of air im getting to my CPU and the quality of my HS rather than whatever minimal improvment i can get from temps by buying market leading TIM's when im overclocking, to me it makes more of a difference and thus is much more of a concern.
I view AS and all other brand name TIM's as something of an indulgence, good at what they do, but ultimatley not that much better than the el-cheapo (even the free included pastes - which of those ive used have been excellent) competition to actually warrant buying it. Afterall is it really worth spending the additional money on AS5 to knock off 2-3C's on the CPU temp, when i coudl spend the same amount of money on an 80m Vantec Tornado and knock much, much more off.

This makes sense if you are on a budget. It also makes sense if one doesn’t want to over pay, if that is what the user believes to the case.

Did you even read the link?
I'll stick with the Shack stuff that I can get very readily for a fair price. It's been very reliable for me over the yrs.

He was interested in the ceramics, so I provided the pointer. If Radio Shack works for you, good.
