Man that page loads slow. It just took me to the home page. Not sure what your talking about. Any thermal grease will most likely work since your not oc'in.

if you go from the homepage and in the top left search for : silver thermal compound . it is the first one in the list.

Should be fine. Just note that alot of people claim "99%" silver content. Does that page load slow for you?

You only have to pay once and can reuse Artic Silver many times.
It’s the best, or close to the best there is so help your CPU temps out and go with AS 5 as suggested by TL.

P&P is less than 3 quid as I got 3 tubes of it. Get some other gear as well and make the P&P worthwhile. Their P&P is the cheapest I know of for a product of this value.

I just use the Maplins stuff, because its cheaper and easier to nip to Middlesbrough and get some than spend a tenner (shippping rates are reidiculous at that place) at OCUK on AS

£5.75+VAT x 3 - Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (3.5g) (AC-000-AC)
Sub-Total: £17.25
Shipping: £2.85

A few pound extra for some decent thermal paste isn't too much to ask.
Jakk, do you personally use the Maplin thermal paste on your machines?

keep in mind AMD has directly confirmed that your warranty is void if you use any type of thermal grease other than Shin Estu G 749 (and even that is only for evaluation purposes).
here is good sleuthing from Overclocker.com on the subject
I can not recommend OCZ Ultra II Premium Silver Compound or CompUSA Silver Thermal Grease, as they are both misleading products with zero silver in them. If you want a product that actually has silver as an ingredient, Arctic Silver 3, Arctic Silver 5 or Arctic Silver Adhesive tested OK.

Yup, a trip up the road an £2.99 vs £20 for AS5... no choice at all for me.

Where do you get your prices from? See my post above as your maths doesn’t add up.
ASV5 is £5.75+VAT + Shipping: £2.85
With additional purchases the AS V5 gets even cheaper.

Didnt see the 'x3' still, to me, just short of a tenner is silly money for thermal paste, when you can get vanilla stuff for a couple of quid if not free with your HSF unit. Indeed, to me it would make more sense to spend the money on a meatier fan than thermal paste.

I did:
Zalman Flower CNPS7000-AlCu 'Silent' CPU Cooler
However, the thermal paste, as you know Jakk, will be useable for quite a few HSFs, so why not make it some of the best on the market.
Maplin’s or AS V5 delivered over many HSF-CPU we are only talking a minimal amount of money. If OCcing is going to be involved then high-grade thermal paste is a must.
