and this is the Koolance system. i think it look prety cool too.
i just can't wait to have it running. and i know there is no Ram in. i hade the wrong one, and i'm waiting for the right one to come in tomorow or so...
How the pump is working out....500 GPH seams like a lot me.
Thinking to do something like that but using a 350 or even a 250,
Any special reason to use a 500??
How do you bleed the air???
Thanks.
The pump is slightly more powerful than I need, but it's not the 500 gph that is the problem.
500 gph only means that the pump moves 500 gph with no restrictions. The moment the pump is stuck in a watercooling loop the actual gph goes down.
The main predictor of pump performance in a watercooling loop is head height, which is how far the pump can pump water straight up. This is a better measure of how the pump can move water through a restrictive watercooling loop than the flowrate at 0' of head is. My pump probably only moves water at 130ish gph through my setup because it is restrictive.
I just got the Danner Mag 5 on a whim. I later learned that the Mag 3 is a better combination of power used and maximum pump head. Both the Mag 3 and the Mag 5 have a maximum head height of 10'. If you're researching a new setup, you should also check out the swiftech MCP600.
I use a T-Line to fill my setup. I don't like bay reservoirs because they tend to hurt the flowrate of the system and actually make it harder to completely bleed because of air bubbles.
Feel free to PM me with questions and read my watercooling guide on www.gibbed.tk
This is where my signature would go if I wasn't so lazy.
Thanks.
I think I'll go with a 350, that sould do.
I'm planning the set-up with 1/2 " tube without any 90* elbows to
avoid as much restriction as possible.
I really don't understand about the bleeding ...but I'll figure it out thanks.
