    Overclocking My 9800Pro

I just picked up a ATI Radeon 9800Pro and im wondering what is a safe clock/core speed to try for with the stock fan and heatsink.

I still not sure about it...

It says to let it go for an hour or more...does the clock/memory speed go up and down untill its finds the right speed...also i thought i read that it doesnty save the clock speeds.

It varies the clock speeds until it can find no artifacts, what i do is let it run for as long as it needs to until it can find a speed where it remains artifact free for around half an hour, thats good enough for me

Replace the stock HS if your overclocking if you want to get anything worthwhile out of it. I'd recommend an Artic Silencer.
