Ususally whichever one works for you is the best.

In other words, pick one and try it.

    I don't use one because I don't need one.

Better watch out intimidator, or I'll slap your wrists.

All registry cleaners are sort of like juggling loaded guns. If it's just one program that you know has muffed up things a bit (assuming windowblinds?) then it's best to run regedit and carefully search through your registry for left over entries. Regedit has a find feature in the pull down menus at the top. Start your search with the software makers name and continue hitting find next till you get to the bottom. Now try the software name from the top and search your way down. Be VERY careful to read the entry before you delete it....this is not something for anyone to do is in a hurry. Keep two doses of common sense and a dose of caution with you at all times.

I have used System Mechanic for years without a problem. It has some other utilities I use regularly also. I especially like the one that puts favorites and the start menu in alphabetic order. It is also great for cleaning out temp files and duplicate files. Their latest version has even more cool utilities.

physical violence is behavior unbecoming of a moderator.

14yrs of consistent weight lifting has given me very powerful forearms & wrists which could absorb your "SLAPS" with no problem.

    back to the topic.....

I agree 100% that reg cleaners are not needed.

Most systems are so fast now that they can search the Registry at blazing speeds whether a cleaner has been used or not.

However, I use Easy Cleaner all the time on my own PC's as well as clients. I have yet to have a problem.

Like Rob said......a little common sense goes a long way.
