CD-R burn speed slowed from 48x to 10x

I just installed new Adaptec ASPI drivers and then when i went to burn something the max speed it shows capable for the drive is 10x, when eariler it was 48x. Any ideas on how to fix this? Im using CDRWIN 5 by the way. Thanks!

Uninstall whatever caused the problem..obviously adaptec. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If you cant uninstall it use the detect ASPI program that cam with it and just remove the drivers that it lists from your windows\system32 directory or whatever directory they are in.
