    HELP ME OVERCLOCK THIS D*** THING

    hello . im trying to boost my pc just a bit. so far ive only used cpu cool and cpufsb. they do not support my pll. i have a w228 pll from icw and unfortunately none of those programs support it. UMMM my sistem is a

    1ghz ( i know i know) college student
    384 megs of ram
    128 nvidia geforce
    intel motherboard DEA81510

    HELP me pleaseeee thanks people

    Intel boards rarely overclock well.

    Increase the FSB if possible.

    how?? i cant do it through the bios and i dont see any jumpers on the board.??? anyone else think ofsumthing or should i just wait to upgrade .. thanks anyways.

    If it types your papers and surfs the web then its all good. Just be sure to have spyware blocking software installed, keep the HDD defragged and have all the new hardware drivers installed.

    yeah, if your a re a poor college student, burning up your only CPU could be pretty bad. Optimize software. Its most likely your problem if it seems a lot slower than when you first had it. Maybe a clean install of Windoze?

    comps should never be too much slower than when you first buy it. if it is well maintained then it should provide fast performance for a long time. when people tell me their computer is running slow all of a sudden, i immediately know it needs to be cleaned up, not upgraded.
