    nero express data burn problem

i have recently purchased a new CD/rw and got nero express OEM with the deal
it works fine copying cd to cd, but will not end a session when burning data, i have the log file below
7 shagged cdr's later , i have contacted nero or ahead and they say 3 working days to answer .i need to back up my docs sooner than that.
    anyone have any ideas?

Re: nero express data burn problem

    Welcome to SysOpt!

Is that a multisession CD-R? Was it written before? Are you trying to overburn? Media quality is sometimes associated with this error, have you tried different CD-Rs?

i need to back up my docs sooner than that.
Get another burning software for now: http://download.com.com/3000-2646-10...l?tag=lst-0-18

the cdrs are 52x 700mb it doesnt say multi session on the box
i have tried different cdrs phillips and packard bell
the system will write cd to cdr direct copies of music ,also music from the HD to cdr and HD to 12x CD/RW with no problem.
    not sure if im overburning.
cannot find option in program to slow down the burn speed.
the drive is a benQ 52x32 and the program (nero )is trying to burn at 52x
    thanks

I use Nero but not the Express version, but you should be able to set the burning speed manually. Does it use a wizard? If so, disable it on the Help menu.

Well, it probably isn't Nero; what brand is the CD-RW drive. Also, post your system specs.

my copy of Nero reports a buffer under run error at the very end of burning. (The CD is 100% usable. Nero doesn't seem to know that the buring process is done.).

This happens even at 1x burning speed.

Does anyone else have this problem?

No, it's the user who selects the speed. What can you record at 24X? CD to CD? Or hard drive to CD?
How is the burner connected? Is it primary slave?

lostplanet: your drive is not supported by Nero - anyway, update your copy and try again

How do you know it happened in the end of the process?

Nero will only burn at the correct speed if the firmware in the burner correctly identifies the media. Might want to look at the firmware version for the drive manufacturer (BenQ is a marketer) and see if an update is available to flash.
