    I'm a total Linux idiot. Never installed it, never messed with it, never considered it...until now.

    Since I'd just want to install it on my spare PIII 600 and play around with it (in other words, I'm not about to spend any $ on the OS), what are my options? I know I've seen freeware Linux OS's out there.

    www.linux.org has free online courses in Linux, both beginning and intermediate
