how to diable the MS POP-ups ???

    HI Guys,

Could someone help me how to disable the POP-UPs of windows that keep on coming at the BOTTOM RIGHT corner of my screen??

The Pop-ups keep on apprearing when you boot the system saying there is incompatible device driver or new MS updates and many more.

    Thanks for your reply

What O/S ? And some info about your system.
Is this a new install or an old setup that just started having this problem?

Ok, for the incompatble drivers, right click on my comuter, and select properties, next click the hardware tab. And then look at your device manager, and see any hardware with an excamation point. There is some hardware that you have that don't have the correct drivers installed.

If yous till have the properties box open select the Automatic Updates tab and clear the "Keep my computer up to date" check box cleared and hit apply.

Look - you really need to go to Windows Update and get this squared away. If you don't, the next "Blaster" virus will knock you down for the count.

It's not wise to disable the warning.

you can disable automatic updates. go into the control panel to configure that.

i guess you better update that driver then. if you do the windows update, it might have the driver there. otherwise, go to the manufacturer's website. did you do an upgrade or a clean install?

This reminds me of Ricky from Better Off Dead. "You shouldn't keep Mother waiting. It's not wise to upset Mother!"

I hate to say this, but I actually remember that movie. There was the "hot" french foreign exchange girl. She fixed up his car and stuff. doh!

You could schedule the updates for once a week or something. You never know when the next MSBlast is going to come, so it's better to be all patched up.

If you want to disable ALL of those Pop-Ups, then download tweak UI:

Disable "Balloon Tips". I think its in the "Taskbar" section.
