FX5200 - should I get PNY or MSI?
I'm looking for a really good video card for the price range of about $115. I've had an ATI Radeon 9000 pro for the past year and it eventually burned up. While I do mostly website designing and image toying, I do miss playing games like flight sims and half life. So I plan on having a little of this fun.
I done a little research on graphics cards and figured that I should go with the FX5200 card from either PNY or MSI. Which would you recommend?
My system specs:
Athlon 1.8GHz
Asus A7V8X motherboard
60Gig Western Dig 7200 rpm HDD
512 ddr
Soundblaster etc.
Thanks,
Kareem

MSI is the flagship card manufacturer for nVidia.
'Nuff said.

MSI, PNY have always looked a lil 'cheap and nasty' to me

One more vote for MSI
I did have one card crack through the middle on me though. But I don't hold it against then per say (and yes, I was nice to the card, I've no idea why it happened)
MSI is better than PNY in any case.

MSI, I have a PNY Geforce3 Ti200 and PNY doesn't support it anymore. The card isn't that old...

I have to go against the grain and say PNY, sorrry guys but to me it's just a name and that's all your paying for.

If that's so, why not buy PNY RAM? How about PNY motherboards? PNY soundcards? PNY CD burners?
nVidia just makes the chips. How they are "slapped on" the PCB is up the maker. MSI slaps them on better.

MSI uses better quality components on the cards, just look at overclocks, MSI, Albatron, and Leadtek generally always are great solid overclockers, card after card.

I have my PNY overclocked right now. No problems at all and the benchmarks and my games have never looked better so what's the difference? same card different name!

I wouldn't trust PNY to make 20 good cards in a row.

Well I would really like to know what everyone's experiences with PNY and MSI have been, especially if you have the PNY or MSI FX5200. Me from my experience can say that the PNY FX5200 is a good card for games and overclocking I can say this because I have one.

All will overclock, it is just degree of overclock I'm talking about.

Visiontek Ti4200 128mb card ram has to be the suckest ram ever.
