    no need to cut anything do the wire mod www.ocinside.de . get thin wire cut about a centimeter long per piece and look at the ocinside will give you. i find its much easier to short the pins through the socket itself and insert the cpu atop. be careful not to push too hard though as you may bend the cpu's pins. ive done this many times with success each time. good luck.

    Ran a 2000xp for last year ....

    and temp ranged from 42 degrees idle to 60 degrees under load. Just upgraded to a 2700xp with temp up to 46 idle and 52 under load....
