    No, Calvanist Protestantism, an off shoot of pretestantism during the early days of capitalism in England formed by travellign priest John Calvin. Protestantism of the time has become famous as a 'religious terrorism' inflicted upon the masses at the time to prevent rebellion and force the transition from feudalism.

    See the poems of William Blake for futher evidence, as he has a lot to say (and none of it good) about protestantism and what it was doing at the time

    It was called the Edict of Nantes, so I guess it was issued there. Nantes is in western France. The Edict of Fontainebleau wiped out the Edict of Nantes 87 years later.
