For those of you who may remember, many many moons ago i was one of the pioneers of the Radeon 9800 Non-Pro --> Radeon 9800 Pro mod that proved to be a big hit amongst the tweaking community, and bought me my five minutes of fame on the enthusiast circuit.

Just thought i'd let you know that today, the 9800 Non-Pro behind the magic died and went to Video Card heaven

Five years running overclocked to high heaven... im not really suprised

and it probably died mostly due the extra heat and voltage current it flew through it during the last 5 years, more than any thing else.

Nah, me dad did though - he's stuck with a Voodoo 3 2000 PCI in that machine now .

When im next home i'll probably have a play with it, see if it can be resurrected - if not then theres an aftermarket cooler on it that i intend to rip off.
