    used motherboards Opinion!!

    Hi:Someone Selling some used motherboard and I need some opinion On which one I should Consider buying
    I will be doing Some Overclocking:
    1)Soyo k7v dragon plus via kt266a
    2)Epox -8k7a Socket A AMD 760
    3)MSI-Kt3 ultra kt333 Socket A
    4)Aopen AK73 pro Socket A
    BTW:Can Anyone told me what is the MAX CPU can the above mobo take

    Avoid the Soyo. The rest should be fine - especially the MSI.

    The KT3 supports any Athlon XP 266MHz CPU - no Bartons though.

    So this mobo It doesn,t Support the barton 2500
    Too bad
    What about the KT3 ultra 2
    & Kt3 ultra ARU
    Does they support the Barton ?
    Is there any Bios Update That Can make the KT3 ultra Support the
    Barton 2500+
    Last question :
    How much worth the KT3 ultra ?

    There is no update for any plain KT3 for Barton support.

    The Ultra2 supports the Barton with a BIOS update.

    None of those boards are worth more than US$50.

    I thought GP flashed his old KT3-ultra1 board with a bios that enabled 333 FSB support. He's running at 390 FSB right now.

    How he did it, well,

    There must have been a BIOS file somewhere...

    worth 50$ & they Support the Barton 2500+ with the Bios
    Update
    Than how much would be For a used Kt3 ultra !!!

    Did you even look at that page? The Ultra and Ultra ARU do not support the Barton.

    A plain Ultra is worth $35-40.
