    Water cooling setup

Hi I just recently bought a water cooling setup and was wondering what the best and easiest liquid to use would be.

Straight water with a small amount of antifreeze or some other additive to keep growth down.
This is where my signature would go if I wasn't so lazy.

I used about an ounce of antifreeze in mine, just to keep stuff from growing.

I would love to setup a water cooled rig. One thing with me is that I will have to canibalize a cigarete lighter based cooler Imachine chilling the water at 40F and have that baby flow through

Man it'd be a dream to set up a watercooling system. I could get an SLK-900U with a Vantec Tornado.. and earplugs.

    whoaaaaa there

use distilled water for a start, not water straight form the tap.
distilled water contains less of the chemicals that corrode and tarnish waterblocks/clear tubing and is also not supposed to conduct electricity in case of spillage.

add about 10% anti-freeze/coolant if you want, this can also help or for better results use "water wetter" or "purple ice" both additives that need only a small amount, probably not even 10%, they help keep the system cool and in better condition for longer.

    my system is watercooled:

take a look at some real hardware mods:
