cpu usage increases when using keyboard?
When ever i push a key on my keyboard my cpu usage increases from under 10% to over 50% and i cant figure out why.
Another related problem is that while using the keyboard and listening to mp3s the music sorta skips and then eventually goes all fuzzy sounding.
When i was using win2k, 50% of the time when i booted up i would get this problem and the other 50% it would be just fine.
Specs:
Winxp pro
athlon xp 2000+
epox 8rda+
pc2100 256 megs crucial ram
ATI all in wonder 9700 pro
im using onboard sound and video
btw this is a freash install of xp.
I have a feeling this may be a problem with xp/2k and the nforce 2 chip, but im not sure.
:edit: i have all the latest drivers (catalyst 3.6, nforce 2.03) :edit:

Are your windows updates... up-to-date?
That's pretty messed up.
USB or PS2 keyboard?
Have you tried a Bios upgrade?
