GA-6VTXE info anything would be nice ..

okay my dad recently bought a new mobo gigabyte GA-6VTXE But to my horror it didnt come with any drivers or anything. Now I have nevr installed a mobo before yet my friends tell me it is easy. So before I go messin with it I would like to know something. Do I have to reformat to install the mobo? Or could I just unplug everything attached to my current mobo and plug everything into my new gigabyte mobo? And I know I will need drivers yet I cant find any site with the install drivers or anything, so if ANYONE with this mobo or has info on the mobo and can help it would be REALLY appreciated.

Sorry I posted this in two different forums Yet I wasnt sure where to put it

Yes, it's best to format when you install a new motherboard. There are other ways of going about it, but formatting is the fail-safe option You need the latest VIA Hyperion drivers from http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=300. Install them straight after you've formatted the hard disk and reinstalled Windows, followed by your graphics and other drivers.

    Contact GB here:

    http://www.giga-byte.com/Company/Con...contact_us.htm

    Ask for a CD.

    Here are your drivers:

You have to look at the audio chip do determine brand.

BTW - this is not a new motherboard. Be careful how you describe that.
