corrupted bios
pls. help me, i have a corrupted bios. my motherboard model is Slotek SL-54U5. Could someone pls tell me what to do to recover my bios. where could i find or download this bios to be able to rewrite it to my corrupted bios. Are there possible solutions in recovering my bios?

If you can boot from that mobo, try to flash it again with original file from manufacturer.
If you don't...
Check to see if the BIOS chip is soldered to the PCB. If not, get another one like it and boot...
When in DOS, change chips and flash...

I killed my BIOS a while back and had to clear and start again to get back into it.. you can take out the battery and clear the CMOS with the jumpers which should give you the default settings... then you just need to set the correct options for your processor...
but I can't tell exactly what's going on so I could be way off... can you get into the BIOS, what happened to get you here - changed settings/flashed the BIOS etc.
if it's just that the BIOS settings have been changed and you need to reset them, if you can get in and do it manually, you should do that. If not, you can use the technique above to clear the BIOS/CMOS to factory default.
if something more serious has happened then give us the details, as much as possible

--gulp-- hope my advice wasn't fatal... I DID say disconnect all power cables and turn off all switches, plugs etc... didn't I?....

If the BIOS is corrupt, do not shut down or you may severely limit your chances for a simple recovery.
