    need free recording program

    i want to record things using a micrphone, recordings will last upto 6 minutes max, does anyone know of any free programs that will let me do this?

    What about Sound Recorder in Accessories > Entertainment?

    Many sound cards come with such software too.

    agree with something that simple, the build in windows recorder will do just fine

    or the tools that comes with the sound card

    Yeah but the built in recorder only records 60 seconds of data?

    Try Musicmatch Jukebox Free - it does that and more.

    Sound Recorder goes longer

    Just keep hitting Record @ 60 sec. and it just keeps on going...

    If you use Nero to burn your CDs you could always try out their wav editor. It lets you record past 60 seconds.

    By the way, if you're going to post an image, learn how to crop it. Even a basic program like MSPaint lets you do that.

    Taking lessons in tactfulness from BPB I see Johnny. By the way I did crop it from 3.2mb to 5kb. Perhaps you could explain to me how to do it better. Thanks.
