When its your time..or..a surge protector won't help.
CHEYENNE, Wyo. -- A college student survived a lightning strike while mountain climbing, but was killed in a second strike about an hour later as he and his girlfriend waited out the storm, authorities said.
The body of Ryan Sayers, 20, of Colorado Springs, Colo., was recovered Tuesday, the day after he was killed on Steeple Peak in the Wind River mountain range in central Wyoming.

You are right Bovon. There is not a big enough surge protector for that one. His girlfriend must have been terrified.

1 in 5 die from strikes, so the second strike, being so recent definantly killed him.
Wouldn't you not want to be hooked to a surge protector, because then you GROUNDED, and what is the sky looking for, something on the GROUND to hit. Tree's get hit often as they have a lot of moisture in them, metal as it's conductive, people, we are mostly water and in the right conditions, the lead off our head is the one that connects. So you just have to hope you don't get hit.

Never an option, when you are already a few degrees out of plomb, no need for stimulants. Like hauling sand to the beach
