    Asus P4S8X 1005.011 Beta Bios

    Has anyone who downloaded this checked out the "Performance" option tab in the Bios? It looks like you can set the RAM on Performance as well instead of Synchronous and Asynchronous. Just wondering if anyone has fiddled with it and also noticed a performance boost. This looks allot like the "Turbo" setting on one of my older Asus RDRAM boards perhaps...

    Performance usually just allows you to alter different parameters. If you just set that and change nothing else, nothing really changes. It basically just unlocks other switches.

    It sometimes boosts timings - look below it at the memory parameters and see what changes when it's engaged.
