    sm8000, that looks like a load of work and could crash windows. I used a program called WinWinner. It not only allows you to easily and safely change the start button but also all the menu items associated with it, such as Programs, My Documents, Settings, etc. ( for a sample see my first post in this thread, it shows my menus along with my wallpaper.) WinWinner can also do many other things, easily. I think I got it at

    It's a freeware app. Hope you all enjoy.
