Formatting, and not Re-Downloading XP files

Say that you were to format your hard drive and do a clean install of windows, but, you have a 56k modem and don't want to download the patches all over again.

Are the patches saved and backed up anywhere where I can get them and re-install them w/o needing to re-download them?

The patches/updates are deleted after you install them. The full url to the updates is in c:\windows\windows update setup files.log

You can go to windows update, and add ?corporate=true to the end of the url and you can download updates.

I just had Windows 2000 do an update. It asked me (since I configured it that way) if I wanted to download, then it asked me if I wanted to install the downloaded patches. Before I did this, I looked in the Windows Update folder in the Program Files folder. I copied all those updates to another folder and then had the Windows update program install them.
