    Computer Clock

    Hi!
I know this is probably a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway. A co-worker's clock on her pc is always speeding up. No matter how many times she resets it, it ends up being fast. What's causing this, and how can I fix it?

is this a work computer? many work systems are sync'ed to the server time. This is for management purposes, remote software installation, etc. it might be in your login script. look for the net time command.

when the system boots up, you can just watch the login script for that command line.

The safest thing to do if you're unfamiliar with scripts is to ask your network administrator if they are syncing the computer times or not.

I'm a Windows 2000 guy, so I'll explain it in those terms.

you look on the server for the login script, usually the netlogon folder. you would only have read rights anyway (unless you are the admin). It depends on your server admin as to what that script is called. some just call it login.bat. others will name it after the group that uses that specific login script, like accounting.bat.
