Right now my favorite is my logitech Z680s.

But my all-time favorite for the best sound is Boston, the reason they aren't my favorite anymore is because of there lack of 5.1 surround sound support.

Altec Lansing model 250. For $90.00 best 6 channel audio you can get! Bass is thumpen and highs crystal clear. The mid dont muddy up either. I will also say it performs tons better with the sound seperation of 6 channel then when switched to 2-4 ch. that does make the mid range sound worse but still good.

I'm happy with my Altec Lansing 251 5.1 speakers. Not the ultimate but powerful enough and accurate enough for the price, very cost-effective @ $99 retail, $67 from New Egg.

If I were looking for high end speakers, I wouldn't get computer speakers at all, I'd get a Dolby Digital receiver and a home theater speaker set.

Cyber Acoustics sub + 2 satellites for $20. LOL

Hey, what can I say, I bought these to get me by until I could afford the phat set but they sound pretty darn good. Not often do you find something inexpensive and decent all at the same time.
