Its prolly a direct order from the NSA/CIA/MI6, one of us has probably hit the nail on the head about a dirty little secret of some sort, will soon be bundled into a van and never be seen again, and theyve ordered it all cease to prevent it happenign agan.
Oh well, it shall be missed

I think you may be confused. The "General Tech Discussion" forum is for just that. A few years ago the tech forum was used as a general forum. This is a anything goes forum as long as there is no flaming. It has been since the day of it's creation!

Flaming doesn't make you less ignorant. Apathy ? No. Order ? Yes. There're plenty of places all over the Web for this kind of discussions, please leave SysOpt free of all this. I come here for tech, and tech is what I want to see here. Jokes and off-topics in Community is a nice thing when you need to take a break from tech, but please keep all the politics bs outta here.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers

Lets make like a shepherd & "Get the flock outta' here"
For an analogy, the SHEEP will remain, the wolves will be gone!
Wolves are opinioniated, they are interested in current events, and they may want to hear the other side and occasionally aggressive. Can be found on every forum, in every environment.
Sheep are boring. They don't have an original thought. Lack the spirit to present their position. And put their head in the sand (OK that's an ostrich).

Could well be, BUT sheep taste good with roast potatoes & mint jelly, whereas Wolves don't

lol. Wolves taste good? lol.
I agree that politics should be kept away from a tech-community but it still good to allow you to talk about it amongst people that you "know", this is one of the only boards that I frequent and I found it interesting to see what some people thought.
