    Webcam & linux

I am running Mandrake Linux 9 on a Pentium 3 1Ghz processor, 128 Mb of Ram. I have a Logitech QuickCam Pro 3000 USB that I would like to hook up to this box.

To be honest, I have no clue what to do. I searched Google and found one site with 2 modules called PWC and PWCX but I didn't know what to do with them.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide. It is much appreciated.

As far as I can remember, from my linux days, and im sure there's people who know far more than me about this subject.. there's a project going somewhere that allows you to utilise your webcam using the same protocols as Netmeeting.. I think it depends what you want to use it for.. if its just chatting to people, this should do it, if its to put on a website or something, i dont know, i never looked into that...

However im not very good at linux, and for all i know there's an incredibly simple tool included in your distro.. lol this is just a possible answer IMHO
