WIN98SE can't login to NT40 Server periodically
Network consists of (1) NT4.0 Server with all the latest patches and 16 workstations, all WIN98SE. Periodically (2) ws's can't login to the server, NO DOMAIN available. They are using a DHCP controller NOT STATIC IP addresses and they can still get on the internet through the network backbone. Thus leading me to believe it is not a cabling/router issue. They can go to another ws and login with their user name and password, which rules out login corruption. I can switch the (2) NIC's from one workstation to the other and regenerate the drivers (different manufacturers for each card), and everything works hunky dory! This is getting to be a pain! Anyone ever seen such or have any suggestions? Oh and we've even reinstalled the OS from scratch also.
