i OC the card and then 3dmark it then i turn the setting back to normal to ensure -minimal damage is done. its a male ego thing, why have a bigger, faster car when you can only got 2 mph in traffic.
i mean playing the game totally fluid.

again this card is amazing you can play it fluidly at that even. it can handle any game currently at those settings. when doom 3 or half life 2 come out the story may change but i doubt it lol

Hooya!
I am going to run another test using 3D Mark 03 and want to know hwat you two have your settings on to run your tests?
I believe I usually run mine with no AA or AF on and using performance. Is this good enough for the scores to be the highest?
Phenom 2 X4 B35 :ASRock N68C-S UCC: G Skill DDR1333 ( 4GB ): ATI Radeon HD6770 1GB : Logitech X504 5.1 SS speakers.:WD 500GB,&300GB Sata2 HD's ; Liteon Lightscribe 24X DVD/combo Drive : Antec 620C neo PSU: CTL 22"WS

When benchmarking you should always reduce all mipmap detai settings etc to Max performance, while disabling AA, AF and Vsync.
Also, Porsch is your X800Pro a TIVO model, as im hearing they can be flashed out of the box to X800XT without the "etching and trace filling" trick.

okay confused lol. TIVO i guess stands for TV in video out and i am truly not sure what mine is?!?!? i got it OEM. but i did get lots of cable i dont know where to plug into lol. they look like S video cables but they have too many pin and since ive not got instruction i cant look it up. well the cable has one side the s video with too many pin then it has three cables at the other side which i am pretty sure you can plug phonos into. im not to sure what etching and trace filling is if you could explain please. and what do you mean by flashed out the box too please lol. sorry its 9.11 im a bit slow in the morning plus ive not been OCing Graphics card to anything meaningfull like ever.

My bad its the X800Pro VIVO (Video in, video out) not TIVO (TV in, video out) cards that can be flashed straight to X800XT. (If you bought a TIVO/VIVO you would know abbout it, because it would probably be plastered all over the box and advertising)
Large numbers of X800Pro's can be modded to X800XT but require you to etch into the PCB surface and join up a couple of connectors with thermally conductive paint before flashing them with an X800XT BIOS, in the case of the VIVO you dont need to do the hardware mod, from what im reading most can just be flashed to X800XT as is

OC'ing 9800 PRO
Where can I get software that will allow me to OC my ATI 9800 PRO 128? I had Omega drivers and the slider adjustment to OC was there, but it never saved my settings. Besides that, it would show a much slower clock rate then it shhold be be default. Any ideas?
THANKS!

There are a lot programs which you can use for ocing video cards like Powerstrip or Radclocker (the second one is for ATI only).
