3Dmark03 Score: 5989 not good enough, not nearly good enough Joe (Joe vs.the valcano)
Cheap 3 year old midcase, drilled three holes, installed Antec smart fans, Enermax 430watt two fans
AMD Athlon 2200xp 133fsb oc to 11.5x166= 1.909 BAD heatsink cooling but made a grade
ASUS A7V8X deluxe with Final Bios
512mb PC3200 400mhz
Radion 9800xt no oc
Maxtor 7200rpm 60gig 2mb cache , sad but true, going to raid0 with new drives soon
Maxtor External 7200rpm 200gig 8mb cache firewire,usb2.0 the silver one, has 160gig of indecent material
seems faster than my internal when on firewire
Linksys wireless G
I'm getting a new CPU and Mobo soon, just don't know which ones, I'm leaning twards P4,(800fsb sounds very nice)
this is about 2 year old stuff exept video card and external drive and obvious,
I bought at frys Fremont cali, was pricey at the time
?? Question GUYS ?? lets say I keep this 2200xp and want to buy the best water cooled system, how fast have you heard it go. but whats the point right, with 133fsb, midas well skip it over a pond.

Hooya!
yes if you had a bigger procesor like a XP2500 or above and a P4 2.4 and above with more FSB up to 200 or so..then your marks would be much higher... Everything else looks good to go with your system....

I have an Athy2200+ w/G4ti4600 getting 1900ish 3dmarks.
I also have a P42.8 w/Rad 9800Pro getting 5880 3dmarks.
Neither of my systems are overclocked.
So you're doing really well.
As far as water cooling the 2200+....:|
Were I you I'd set aside the money you feel compulsed to spend on more cooling equipment and buy a new cpu/mobo in 9-12 months. Or, just stick with what you have. I doubt you're being held back on any games. Or are you?

You know, what you have and your settings. The more, the better.
You should be getting a higher score then that, at least with "wat u av tol us"

Hooya!
I did another test about a weekago and got a very low score ..on my system which waas way..lower than a previous test.....
I used 3D Mark 2003....
With a P4 2.8 and a FX5900 card....I should be gettingabout a 6500 score and above.. the first test I got 6687...the second was 5300+ something...
Maybe I switched parameters or something...
What should your AA andAF settings be on for this?

Unless you got your system and your vid card oc'd 6000 would be a decent score for your setup. 6687 maybe oc'd to 3.2 or 3.4?

2400 @ 2.2 g? Have you oc'd your system? 5331 is a good score for your system as set up and with the memory. You can get more from oc'ing your vid card. Stock cooling should get you up to almost 410 core and 740-750 memory. SHould get your score to 55-5700.
