Drives that just don't die =)
What's the oldest optical drive that you use regularly that's still alive?
To start things off... i have an 8x4x32x Creative Blaster CD-RW that's still kicking. I still have and use the pen that came with it to write on CDs with.

I have a 2x still running on my 486 Gateway. I think I paid a lot of money for that drive in 1993.

I have a 10 year old WD BigFoot that still works (from a school computer that I bought at a auction) and a 2/1/4X HP that cost me like 400 when it first came out.
