    I saw on a lot of reviews that the ASUS A7N8X (DELUXE) is the one to go (based on their benchmarks) and the next would be the EPOX 8RDA+.. About the CPU i believe you already answered your own question, above the 2600+ with 333mhz is what you want right? so you only have 3 choices 2700+, 2800+ or 3000+ whichever fits your budget... But if I were you I'd go for 2700+ save some money to buy some good cooling for your cpu since your board can o/c your cpu to perform like the 3000+ or even better.. Well that is if were you..

    Of course you can... I thought you wanted a chip that is better than 2600+ i never realized that you wanted a chip that can perform better than 2600+ when overclocked.. I'd say 2400+ is good enough and can outperform the 2600+ when overclocked since you can play with the multiplier on this board and not just the fsb..

    Thermaltake = bad for watercooling

    Buy parts off of here:
    www.dtekcustoms.com

    With good watercooling and a capable motherboard (Epox would be better for this because of higher vcore settings), you could hit 2.4 - 2.6 ghz.

    Agreed, the thermaltake water unit has a loud fan and performs worse than the average air cooler. Get a koolance and put a fan above the voltage regulator (VERY important.) It will make current fluctuate less AND at the same time cool the CPU package.

    Koolance=high performance air cooling with little noise
    koolance+low speed fan over voltage regulator=on par with very high performance watercooling

    Wait until I get my h20 cooling setup done. Then you'll see high performance water cooling.

    38C load with a processor running at 2.53GHz? I think not.

    I would say the Asus is good for OC... Got my 2000+ pally running at 204fsb
    On a side note; I have the 1001.C BIOS

    Worthwhile flashing to 1c? Mines is overclocking fine at original issue.

    A7N8X is an extremely good board, worth the money.

    I'm not sure what you mean when you say "original issue." The 1001.C is the original BIOS that came with my board. Although they are up to 1002 now which seems to be a decent BIOS, but I think it's still Beta. So, I'm gonna stick with 1001.C for now.

    What version of BIOS do you have Ammok? If you are doing fine with the BIOS you have, then I would see no need to flash right now. If you are having problems, then you might want to flash to C, because C is the best from what I have read so far.
