    A7V266-E + Radeon 8500LE problem

    Hi
    I have an Athlon XP1700+ 256DDR, the Asus A7V266-E non-RAID, and the ATI Radeon 8500LE @230/230.

But when I play UT2003 at 1028x768 at hi-res, the games crashes and I get only red and black lines.

And this happends with all my games at hi-res.
I have the latest drivers of Via4in1, Ati drivers, sound,etc..

I also put the my card into the pc of a friend, and it was ok.
and put his Radeon 8500LE in my pc and got the same problems.

    Is it my ASUS A7V266-E??????????????????????

    Please, what can I do

Have you updated the drivers yet? What's the AGP aperature set to in BIOS? What's the AGP ratio set to?

Is the AGP ratio set to 2x or 4x?

Try the latest VIA 4in1 drivers:

If that doesn't fix it, there may be some corrupt Windows files somewhere.

Also try turning off write combining (doesnt help much anyhow!) Fast writes and Side band addressing. Nothing of much speed but can make for a lot of "issues" on nvidia and ATI cards. Also as a last resort try running in 2x mode instead. Some mobo's I heard like to run in 2x better.
