    How come it works

ok i got the mx700 optical cordless abselutly brilliant mouse except everybody says dont install the drivers.
    i didnt!

and it works, i mean yeah obviously the mouse will work but the two side buttons (back and forward) work and the two scroll buttons (below and above wheel) which if u press skip 1 line at a time work as well.
The extra extra button below the below scroll button doesnt work but all else works.
obviously i cant reporgram the buttons but i thought i wouldnt be ablte to use the extra mouse buttons without drivers.
    Why is that?

Do I understand correctly, you want to know why it works despite not loading the drivers?
My guess would be the operating system recognized it & allready had most of the proper drivers.

My guess is that windows is seeing it as one of the microsoft type mice and assigning the default button actions automaticly. Just a guess.
