Like looking for computer components. Don't you ever wish that the thing you want pops out with the lowest price tag?
Im looking for a geforce4200, and it is SO HARD. I mean, there are so many versions it blows my mind! nVidia should just make the board and sell it as it is. My mind is going to explode.
Ok...this is the question...which Geforce4200 is the best for the money? I just need it for gaming and maybe for hookup for a projector.
I was thinking about the leadtek winfast, but i dont really care for brand names. Just give me a card with nice overclockable features so i can crank it.

Third the Albatron, though make sure it's the 128 meg version.

VisionTek makes great Nvidia cards, but I dont think they are as cheap though. eVGA are cheaper I think too. Some say the PNY's run hot but I myself have never had one so I dont know about that one.

Got to third P4 gamer and ND... get the Albatron Ti4200P-turbo. It's basically a Ti4600 8-layer PCB components/BGA mem with a Ti4200 GPU, and costs about as much as a n ordinary Ti4200. The copper cooler for the GPU is a big plus and is really effective as well.

I say leave nVidia all together and go for an ATI card...and as a plus, if it's built by ATI,then it comes with DVD decoder built into the card.

If nvidia did that, the prices wouldn't be as low as they were. When you eliminate competition, you eliminate the need to lower prices.
Doesn't the albatron ti4200 128mb cost $200? That's not a normal priced ti4200. I suggest the MSI or the Leadtek. I haven't used an Albatron so i can't say.
Aren't i just a smartass today?

I like my MSI ti4200. It was $130 about 2 months ago. Newegg doesn't have it anymore, all they have is the new "8x agp" expensive one.
Whatever you do, don't get a gainward. They are having quality problems.
This is where my signature would go if I wasn't so lazy.

If you're ready to spend $200 then consider ATI 9500Pro for $180.
-
Or that, yes. But don't think about overclocking if you're not flash-happy.

please be aware that CA's mobo supports only 4x AGP if even that, it's probably a 2x AGP...
there are a lot of nice/ cheap ATI PCI cards at www.jandr.com
