Sweeper, I've got one beta file and it has the date/time stamp from the original W2K files, MFC42.DLL.
Murray1, I've had no problem with my AIW 7500. I just followed the instructions and DL'd and installed the Catalyst 3.0 drivers linked on the main page. Maybe the 2.5s are incompatible w/DX9.

I have had the beta for a long time now and it runs every game perfectly so I don't care if its final or not.

Well.... DirectX 8.2 was never listed there yet. Although maybe it was so insignificant an improvement it did not warrant listing there?

Well, started downloading it
The promise of smoother gameplay wooed me to the entire 32mb
So I'll never have to download again

Hey causticVapor, you should download it just to try it out. There really isn't any solid promise of smoother gameplay, although it happened to me. It might happen to you, but, it's only a "might".
Cheers

DX9 and the new ATI driver rock so far. Games still run the same, look a little sharper, and SOF2 had bout 10fps increase for me.

Well I tried downloading the redist package so I could install it across the network for all machines. But guess what -- the 32MB self-extracting thing doesn't pass the CRC test! I hate it when huge downloads turn out to be corrupt! Oh well, one more time....

DX9 No Problem...
I just installed Direct X 9 on my Win2kPro system, and it seems to be final. I do have that one beta file that mark mentioned, mfc42.dll-I'm thinking it's just a Win2k thing.
